ArtystART Monday: Road Trips, Hydrangeas and Watercolor

It’s Monday again! Whoosh! Thank you to everyone who stopped by Friday and over the weekend. If you missed the Mixed Up Media Chix post you can check it out here. I’ll pick a random winner tommorow for the Big Honkin’ Box O’ Stamps.

How about a little arty Spring, eh? Well, it’s no secret I love flowers. Grow them. Draw them, etc. I have this huge honkin’ hydrangea I grew from a little tiny plant. It took years to get it up to speed. But, now the gorgeous colors make it all worth while. It’s not quite ready to bloom yet, but I decided to use it for some inspiration creation.

That… and we had a little family road trip yesterday which meant I would be in the car for awhile and it’s far better for me and him if I  LOOK DOWN at something while the hubs drives…. HA! Kidding! Um… no… not really.

So, here’s a little Hydrangea love to inspire you today! I also threw a shot of my Peerless Watercolor palette set up in there. If you’ve never used Peerless Watercolors… whoosh, they are the BOMB diggity do da day for portability. I just tucked it right in the back of my sketchbook, grabbed a waterbrush, a few markers, pencils, put them in a cute little case threw it all in the bag and whoosh out the door.

The vibrancy and translucent nature of the Peerless Watercolor is astounding. I’m able to mixmash colors that POP.

Happy Monday! You can click on the pics to see them in larger detail.
