Creating Quick and Easy Card Backgrounds with a Gelli Plate + Gouache Paint

Hi Friends! Thanks so much for stopping by. I’m so grateful you’re here. Today, I’m sharing how to make quick and easy backgrounds for your cards with a Gelli plate and gouache paint. This tutorial came together quite by accident after I found a mini Gelli plate in my studio during a cleanup. Intrigued, I decided to create a card on the fly and I’m loving the summer inspired colors.

Are you enjoying the Hugs and Wildflowers stamp set? I’d love to see what you are creating with it.

Take a peek at the tutorial and let me know what you think!

  1. I loved the video with the gelli plate with making cards. I’d like to see more that includes stamping. Can we use Gina K ink on the gelli plates and get same results? Or must we buy the paint in the tubes? I have a gelli plate but question the paint to use.

  2. Fantastic cards, love the stamp set. Thank you for the great tips with the gel press. I have one . I forgot about it, thank you now I need to fine it..

    1. Thank you Marian! Great Tip and I have plenty of that sitting around for sure.
