It is SO… ON! ITSO Makes My Space Happy.

ITSO Storage… totally made for artists and creatives who don’t like to put things back,  make EPIC MESSES and put off the actual clean up. DING. DING. DING. DING… these were totally made for ME.

So, I’m the kind of person who has a lot of ideas and don’t always know where I want to go with them. I pull EVERYTHING out at once and start sifting through the madness. Usually, something pretty cool comes about. Sometimes… not so much and I’m left with the crazy left behind. A lot of times, I walk away because I can’t believe what I’ve done. Secretly, and now, not so, I think it will all be tidied when I come back.

It never is.

Shocker. It’s funny how we can justify things, eh?

Here’s the thing about organizing your art supplies. If you can’t see them… you don’t use them. If it’s behind closed doors… it will stay there for sure. I have pics to prove it… You’ll see TOMORROW when I show you my “behind closed doors” cabinets. Shameful, I tell you. Shame 🙂

So, here’s how I wrangle up the chaos when I pony up to the worktable. Cowboy metaphors. Not me, but I thought I’d test drive it.

Hmmm… Not so much… 🙂

This is my worktable. Varde from…guess WHERE? IKEA! I’ve had it for 7 years. The top of it is battered with paint and color and stuff. I love it. It sits behind my computer desk and I stand when I work on it. I have two chairs that sit in front of it… They look cute, but I never sit in them. ???? There’s a small, orbital easel and a Icarus Drawing Board on top. Copics on the right and a window in the center. It is all bright, shiny and clean because of THIS. Normally, it would be piled sky high with shards and pencils and zippities and stuff. I give it a few days. The ITSO boxes fit nicely, all lined up on the shelves in worktable.

Here’s what the ITSO boxes look like close up. I label them with chalkboard labels. When I clean/purge I just want to change the WORD on the label and not the whole label. My personal favorite… HOT MESS. Not sure what’s in there, but it’s where I shove the stuff I can’t figure out what to do with. LAZY or Brilliant… Hmmmm… jury is still out.

Here’s a close-up of one of the ITSO boxes… GLUE. Yep, all the GLUE and Tape… all in one box. Throw stuff in. Put back on shelf. Move freely about the cabin. The boxes are the shizz. They help messy people, appear NEAT.
