Sketchbook Inspiration | Week Feb 12 – 17

Learning to Fly

This week in my sketchbook…

Instagram is my favorite place to share. Here’s this week’s sketchbook inspiration all in one place for you.

It’s been a super inspirational week, sharing a new painting in progress, sketching, art journaling and creating my own patterned paper from my artwork. I created a lot of mermaids this week. They have been calling to me. ?

I also almost broke a toe when this hit the floor in my studio. It’s so PRETTY, but so heavy. Luckily, I have fast reflexes and was able to save the toe and the cute shoes. ?

Watercolor Palettes

I made an epic, hurricane of a mess creating a new canvas work this week. Here’s a quick video share that gives you a small glimpse into the beauty of creation. Oh, it’s just a small glimpse and I haven’t quite cleaned it up yet.

This week, I also created more typography works with some iPad Pro Art using the ProCreate App and my Apple Pencil. Good things take time was born out feeling a bit rushed this week on all fronts coming at me. I needed to send a message to the universe and little whispers in the ears who are trying to hurry life and work up, that we need to slow things down a bit. Hopefully, the message was received.

Still diggin’ playing the app. It’s my happy place for practicing wonkytype styling.
