Gesso’d and Ready to Paint Again

So, after the third mix of Gesso, I’m ready to paint again! Wahoo!

It went from this:

And I managed to NOT BOOGER UP the already perfected mermaid. So now, I’m a little stuck on how to start in with the quote again. It’s definitely a case of what I envision in my head…not executing well. So, I’ll have to stare at it for a day or so. And, I may need to go with another quote. Or, none at all. Maybe I’ll just add a little sun and let HER be the focal point. I can most definitely re-work the blues. So, for today… going to let her occupy my studio space and wait for my next move to come to me.

What do you think?

  1. What about practicing the quote on a sheet of paper the same size as the canvas?

  2. I LOVE the quote. Can you add some yellow to give the warmth of the sun and then paint the quote smaller? It’s adorable! That quote is awesome, especially for young people. Can’t wait to see what you decide!
