Water your Roots So Your Soul Can Blossom

This week in my sketchbook …

I was a wee bit obsessed with creating wreaths and sentiments for this week’s sketchbook inspiration in my Instagram feed. I was playing along with Kathy Racoosin’s Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge and having a bit of fun with my Copics. AND, I was playing along with #whenindoubtwreathitout on Instagram with Simela Petridis (@pizzlepaints on Instagram). I’m a wee bit obsessed with her watercolor wreath style and color palettes. She shares amazing work. Go visit with her, you will not be disappointed.

I was also having a ton of fun with all the watercolors from Prima. The Courage Dear Heart Wreath was painted with all the Watercolor Confections Shimmering Lights palette. Creating that wreath tugged at my heart this week.  I am completely OBSESSED with deep rich reds and shimmery goodness in that palette. I also auditioned a new watercolor paint brush called a dagger. AND, I was using Dr. PH Martin’s Bleed Proof White which is like the UNICORN of white watercolor for me.

Oh, you’ll hear all about it next week. Tee hee!
