Craft Your Joy Card Tutorial: Graphic Inspired Card Design

Hi Friends! Thanks so much for stopping by. I’m so grateful you’re here. Graphic inspired card design is a lot easier than you might think. Today’s card tutorial video uses my “Something Good” stamp set with Gina K Designs to create a bold graphic card design with lots of unexpected color pops. Who knew blue denim and slate dye ink would be a winning combination?

Spoiler Alert: There is a bit of singing and excitement in this video. It just can’t be helped.

The cardstock layer sizes shown in the video are:
Card base: A-2 5.25 x 8.5, scored at 4.25 (Horizontal Card)
Blue Denim Cardstock by Gina K Designs
White Gina K Layering Cardstock to create stamped embellishments

My Craft Mat:

I get a lot of questions about the craft mat I use in my videos. It is a piece of poster board from WR Memory Keepers. They call is Designer Poster Board: Wood White. Manufactured by American Crafts. I had the poster board heavy duty laminated at my local Staples. GREAT for photos, video, craft mat usage. It wipes right off and is heat resistant.

You can find this poster board in many craft and hobby stores.

  1. hi Lisa! This card is great! I love the blue denim. love
So, the slate looks black (to me) . How does it look in real life? Not as sharp or not as dark?

    Cheers!
